Healthy. I see this word everywhere : in the streets, in the magazines, on the social medias, the television, the internet and the products. This term is used by so many people and everybody wants to fit with it. But what is healthy? What does that mean to you, to me, to us? I think everybody has his own kind of explication about this “in” word.
MY LIFESTYLE IS HEALTHY. HEALTHY IS A LIFESTYLE.
All the magazines talk about it and mention that it’s good to be healthy. You see this word with a lot of green colors, vegetables, fruits and sport. It’s beautiful and it makes you want to take a new start and refresh yourself with this lifestyle. First of all, my opinion is that it has to start from yourself. It’s something really personal. It’s not a tendance that we have to follow, because in the beginning it will be cool, but if we just follow the “it-thing” without any signification to us, we will fall back down to the bad habits. If we want to think good, to act good and to be good, it has to come from our heart and our head. A healthy lifestyle is a journey, not a destination. The beginning will be a discovering experience. You start to eat real food and take care of your health. Then, you realize they are so many things you could do better. It’s just a question of choice. And we are lucky to be able to take our own decisions.
As I said before, being healthy is really personal. I want to tell you : it’s your business! Don’t follow the others, because everybody is different. I know what is the best for me, what my body and my mind need to be fine. Maybe what is healthy to me is not to you. I also love to see how the others work. It’s good to inspire and to be inspired by the souls aroud us. Stay open and learn. And the end, feeling good is the key. This should be the only reason why we take care of our lifestyle. To feel good.
EATING WELL. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
When we talk about a good meal plan, we always think that we have to eat less and to private ourselves. But it’s wrong!
To me, eating good is a question of mind. When you know what is good for your body, you make some choices in the kitchen and you enjoy the food. It’s all in the head. If eating good is an obligation and a frustration to you, I think you are not in the good mindset.
When I was younger, I use to eat all day long and I didn’t care for the quality of my food. Kellogg’s, biscuits, Macdonald’s and all that stuff were my favorite foods. It’s not that they were my favorites, but I didn’t mind. At all. I was lucky that my metabolism was really good. This is the reason why I didn’t take weight. I always have been a sportive girl, but since three years, I started taking care of myself. And I see a big difference. My skin, my hair, my nails and the most important : my soul. The alimentation has a power in our body, but in our mind too. I feel really energized everyday. Now, I always choose the products I buy and it’s important to me to know what I eat. You can come with a million of biscuits or another industrial products, it won’t be difficult to me at all. It’s not a privation. And I think that this is “being healthy”. When you start a lifestyle and you feel good with it, without any frustration, this is the beginning of a pure and lovely journey.
If you think it would be too difficult to be healthy, I dare you to try. Just try. The beginning could be not really easy maybe, but it’s worth it. When you start seeing the difference in your energy, your head and your health, it will become an addiction and you won’t want to go back to your past habits.
